Report of 18 May 2009 Meeting
The participants to this meeting focused on the content of next version in order to identify how 2009′s version will differ from last year’s edition. You will find here the description of what is expected in 2009 version.
Communication has been also an important topic of discussion. In order to attract comments and new contributors, it is crucial that the traffic on 2020flossroadmap.org grows significantly and that we get incoming links from various origins. The communication done recently by Stephane Fermigier (Nuxeo) on Linux.fr, LWN, etc. is a very good example of what is expected from each contributor to the roadmap: to relay all infos concerning our project to 4 or 5 sites of their choice. This will increase the visibility of 2020flossroadmap.org and consequently the numbers of potential contributors and critics. This simple and non expensive approach should be considered by all members of this project as an important and necessary step forward.
Finally and in order to create some momentum, an idea to refine has been proposed to ask to a list of FLOSS Leaders (e.g. Marc Fleury, Brian Belhendorf, Eben Moglen, Yukihiro Matsumoto, Roberto Di Cosmo, etc.). what they would consider as most important events in FLOSS landscape during these last months.
